What’s new with University of Melbourne Blogs

Recently, we’ve made some changes to the way we offer blogs to the University of Melbourne community.

Blogs homepage

The University of Melbourne is home to a number of blogs, ranging from news and opinion to research and assistance. The homepage at blogs.unimelb.edu.au now acts as a showcase for this exciting and diverse collection of content. We’ll also continue to keep you up to date with tips and assistance on blogging.

How can I get a University of Melbourne blog?

We’re looking forward to you joining us! Simply drop into the ITS website for more information on how to get started (you must be a staff member to view this page).

New theme

We’ll soon be offering this new-look theme to users, too. The new WordPress theme supports slideshows, custom menus, advanced search engine optimisation fixes, and a number of useful new widgets. It also conforms to the 2011 branding guidelines, so your blog will fit in with the University’s overall look and feel.

I have a blog on blogs.unimelb.edu.au and I want to use the new theme!

Great! We’ll send out an announcement when we’re ready to offer it to others. In the meantime, feel free to send any questions or comments to web-strategy.unimelb.edu.au and we’ll let you know how we can get started.
