Brepols Miscellanea Online : Essays in Medieval Studies comprises leading collections of scholarly essays in the histories, literatures, cultures, and societies of medieval Europe. Articles published in miscellany volumes are a vital forum for significant new research in the humanities, and their importance is continually increasing. Miscellany volumes in the Brepols platform are available electronically at an article level (similar to the presentation of journal articles).
Brepols Miscellanea Online: Essays in Medieval Studies comprises the following articles:
I. Collections of articles, principally: Thematic collections ; Volumes drawing from articles reworked from earlier symposia ; Festschriften ; Exhibition catalogues (with substantial articles).
II. Area: research into Europe and neighbouring regions
III. Timeline: volumes that focus on the Middle Ages. (330 AD/CE when Emperor Constantine made Constantinople/Byzantium the imperial capital – the Council of Trent in 1545-63 AD/CE)
IV. Language: at least two thirds of the articles in the online collection will be in English.
