In 2010, students wishing to specialise in repertoire, composition, performance, musicology/ethnomusicology should choose the New Generation Bachelor of Music degree. Students wishing to specialise in improvisation should choose the Bachelor of Music Performance degree.

Recent nanoscience graduate Craig Bullen working with flasks containing cadmium selenide nanocrystals. The fluorescence observed changes from blue to red as the nanocrystals increase in size from 2nm to 6nm. Potential applications include electroluminescence, LEDs, waveguides and tunable lasers, biochemical markers, photonic crystals and nanomechanics.
