The National Library recently released its Directions for 2009-2011. It can be found here:

In the context of this broad statement of direction, the Resource Sharing and Innovation Division of the Library has now released its Strategic Plan for the period July 2009 to June 2011. It can be found here:

This Plan sets out the Division’s strategies and planned activities for the next two years as they relate to:
* Libraries Australia;
* The E-Resource Consortia managed by the National Library; and
* The discovery services for the public, including the integrated discovery service currently under development.

Hello!
I am attending CDU in Darwin and need a question answered about the Library.
Could you please tell me the name of the current Director-General and what year he/she was appointed?
I have perused the directions for 2009 – 2011 and noted Warwick Cathro as Assistant Director-General.

The Director-general of the NLA is Jan Fullerton.
http://www.nla.gov.au/council/janfullerton.html gives details about her. She was appointed 0n 9th August 1999 and was reappointed 9 August 2007 for a further five-year term until 8 August 2012.
