The Melbourne Engagement Lab runs a range of programs, including those on social media, to assist academic staff and graduate researchers of the University of Melbourne reach audiences for their research. Here are some of their upcoming Social Media workshops:

Social Media 1

Why tweet, post or blog? This workshop looks at why you can’t afford to overlook social media as the most powerful tool available to you as a researcher and a communicator today. Essentially, like it or not, you can’t afford NOT to have a digital footprint today. This workshop will mark the first day of your new life online and electronically connected to the outside world!

Social Media 2

This workshop is a practical session to assist beginners in getting started in the digital world. Participants will look at all the possible digital channels for communicating their research, ideas and personal stories to the outside world and will then set up accounts in selected social media channels.
