Have you received emails regarding Journal Rankings and related topics?

Library staff are interested in hearing from University of Melbourne researchers who have received emails from groups on the subject of journal rankings, and in particular asked to join such groups in order to review scholarly journals. We have received queries from academics who have received such emails and are curious about their bona fides. We are interested in learning how far these emails have spread, the number of different organisations, and the nature of their activities and queries. If you have received such emails, please contact Peta Humphreys, Science & Engineering Librarian, phump@unimelb.edu.au.

The Library’s Getting Published guide provides links to tools and information on deciding where to publish your research. It also includes a link to Think. Check. Submit. – a cross-industry initiative led by representatives from groups such as:  Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, Directory of Open Access Journals, INASP, ISSN, LIBER, OASPA, STM, UKSG, and individual publishers.
