Andrew Dare (B.A.Hons, M.Phil. [Cantab.]) is a Research Fellow currently researching representations of suicide, mental health, and mental illness in both traditional and online news media.

This Confirmation Seminar will discuss the candidate’s research which seeks to understand the extent, nature and quality of news and current affairs reporting of suicide in Australia,with particular reference to the role of a range of advocacy activities and guidelines for responsible reporting of this issue.
