Smartphones and mobile applications are increasingly being used to deliver mental health interventions and to prevent suicide, but evidence regarding their efficacy is scarce. This presentation will outline some of the challenges encountered during the preliminary phase of a pilot study on suicide prevention mobile applications and the feasibility of automated research methods.
