Savvy researchers know they must think about their ethics applications from the perspective of the reviewing committee. This seminar will provide insight into how ethics committees review applications. Some of the topics covered will include: the research ethics system (including the distinction between low-risk and project applications), the streamlined process for
project applications, what MSPGH Human Ethics Advisory Group (HEAG) looks for, what delays ethics approval, accessing data and databanks and ethics applications for students.
New staff, early career researchers and research students (and their supervisors) are particularly encouraged to attend. There will be ample time for questions and discussion.
