This presentation will cover the latest findings around patterns of drug use and harm in Australia, with a particular focus on methamphetamine use and injecting drug use, highlighting how rates of major harms such as opioid overdose remain stubbornly high despite a range of available responses. It will then move to consider the special case of hepatitis C, detailing the expected impacts of the current revolution in hepatitis C treatment and the lessons that this provides for wider drug policy.
