Professor in Clinical Epidemiology, School of Public Health & Family Medicine; and
Director, Training & Research Unit of Excellence (TRUE), College of Medicine, University of Malawi

There have been a number of important links between the University of Melbourne and the Malawi College of Medicine over the last 20 years.  In 2017 a formal Memorandum of Understanding was established between the two universities. Professor Phiri will discuss his own internationally recognised research work in the control of malaria in children and pregnant women and will also focus on the many wonderful collaborative opportunities that now exist for researchers, clinicians, teachers, professional staff and students from both Melbourne and Malawi.
