McCaughey Centre 15-Sep-08: Visit by Karma Tshiteem, Royal Government of Bhutan

The McCaughey Centre and VicHealth jointly hosted a visit to Melbourne by Karma Tshiteem, Secretary of the Gross National Happiness Commission of Bhutan in early September. Mr Tshiteem spoke at and participated in a number of events organised by VicHealth, the Australia Bhutan Friendship Association (ABFA) and the McCaughey Centre during his time in Melbourne. He was an invited speaker at the From Margins to Mainstream conference, and attended research workshops, meetings with the Victorian Government and the University of Melbourne, and social events with the ABFA.
Mr Tshiteem also gave a very successful public lecture on the work of the Gross National Happiness Commission, which was organised by the McCaughey Centre. A recording of his lecture is available below.
