McCaughey Centre Short Course 26-27 Nov 09: Climate change and community wellbeing

The McCaughey Centre is pleased to present the details of the upcoming short course: Climate change and community wellbeing: Local and regional trends, strategies and solutions.

This short course will run on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of November, 2009 at Melbourne University’s Burnley Campus. The course has been developed by the McCaughey Centre, University of Melbourne in conjunction with the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute, University of Melbourne, the Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab, University of Melbourne and the Victorian Council of Social Service.

The course has been designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills and networks of community, government and industry-based practitioners working at local and regional levels to address the challenges of climate change.

It is envisaged that the course will be of interest to people from a wide range of professional and community settings which could include: local government, community sector organisations, community health services and Primary Care Partnerships, environment organisations, arts and cultural development organisations, schools and adult education agencies, trade unions, industry and business focussing on climate change related products and services.
