Student Challenges: Win Prizes!!
Challenge 1: Hybrid Meetings – How Much Carbon Have We Saved?
The 2021 ASA meeting is organised around hubs in the major astronomical centres in Australia. Provide an estimate of how much carbon has been saved by using this meeting format, rather than the standard ASA meeting format, where all the astronomers would have met in Melbourne. Numbers of people at each hub are available on the ASA ASM website.
1st Prize: $500
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100
To be awarded as gift vouchers. (Prize amounts are totals: the amount awarded will be identical regardless of whether a single- or multiple-person entry wins).
Eligibility: Enrolled student/s attending the meeting.
Submission date: Midnight, Sunday 11 July AEST.

Can be either a video or a PDF. As voted by the meeting attendees.
