ACCOMMODATION
The on-campus student accommodation will house around 20-25 people (one person per room) depending on availability. However, all linen (and toilet paper) would need to be supplied by the guests. The cost per room per night is approximately $49. There are a couple of motels and caravan parks nearby (short walk away), see below.

AU$100 – Big 4 Borderland Holiday Park * – about 200 m walk away. Approximately 20-25 more people could be accommodated here. The cost per person per night ranges from $58 – $95 which includes a 10% discount for a group booking. Sharing preferences will be noted on the registration form.
*CANCELLATION POLICY – If a COVID-19 related border closure or lockdown were declared that required us to cancel the event at short notice, we would get 100% refund of our booking fees. Other cancellations made more than 14 days before the arrival date will also receive a 100% refund. Cancellations received 7-14 days beforehand will forfeit 50% of the accommodation cost.

TRANSPORT
There are several options for people travelling from NSW, ACT and VIC. People from other states can join a group from any of these starting points or make their own arrangements. Transport costs are to be paid by local institutions (ie. not from event budget).
Melbourne -> Wodonga
- Train/Bus
From Southern Cross station to Wodonga station. Travel time is approximately 4 hours 16 minutes (train and then coach). Return cost is $82 (adult) $41 (concession). Reservations are required for this regional service.

Wodonga -> Melb – Dep 12.54 Arr 16.40 (3hr 46 mins)

Driving time from Melbourne is approximately 3 hr and 27 mins (326.2 km) via M31.

In-person – $375 per person (+ GST)
Registration fees include:
- Accommodation – Friday and Saturday nights
This will be in either self-contained student rooms (shared bathrooms and all linen etc required) or on-site cabins or bungalows with separate bedrooms. Some of the larger cabins are two bedroom/twin share. Preferences will be captured on the registration form.

Any dietary requirements will be noted at the time of registration.
Drinks at the evening meals will need to be paid for by the attendees.

- Friday evening (weather-permitting) astrophotography tutorial/observing night led by Aman Chokshi (UMelb)
- Saturday afternoon session at the local Wodonga Bounce indoor trampolining centre (800m – 10 mins walk) or 10-pin bowling (6kms from campus, Uber?)
- Self-organised walk of the local Botanic Gardens

REFUNDS
Please email Kim Dorrell if you require a refund.
- Cancellation requests received by 5pm AEST on Wed 23rd June will be 100% refundable.
- Cancellation requests received by 5pm on Wed 30th June will be 50% refundable.
- Cancellations after 30th June are non-refundable.
