Rebecca is an Associate Lecturer in the School of BioSciences and a member of BRITE Lab. With BRITE Lab colleagues, she creates educational interventions aiming to develop undergraduate students’ skills, including writing, and analysis and interpretation of data.

Current Research:

Rebecca conducts educational research with colleagues both in the School of BioSciences and the Faculty of Science.  Their work aims to:

  • 1. Improve students’ written communication using formative assessment and targeted feedback.
  • 2. To better understand and facilitate students’ development of skills in specific subjects, or as they progress as undergraduates in the School of BioSciences.

  • 2021 – BioSciences Teaching Excellence award, School of BioSciences, The University of Melbourne. Development of new Workshop and Practical programs in ZOOL20005: Animal Structure and Function.
  • 2020 – Learning Teaching Initiatives (LTI) grant, The University of Melbourne. Improving online learning quality in ZOOL20005: Animal Structure and Function.
