Awards Ceremony: Best Digital Preservation Song and Dance for World Digital Preservation Day 2018

This year for World Digital Preservation Day, Serena Coates at the State Library of Queensland issued a digital preservation theme song challenge on the Australasia Preserves forum, and together with Rachel Merrick, produced the magnificent contribution, All the Corrupt Files (Single Ladies [Put a Ring on it] parody”.

To celebrate this much-lauded achievement, we have devised a special award this year: The Ross Harvey Award for Best Digital Preservation Song and Dance.

To present this award, we have produced a special awards ceremony together with the team from the State Library of Queensland.

We hope that this award becomes an annual occurrence for World Digital Preservation Day! Or, at the very least, in Serena and Rachel’s words,

If just one person puts a checksum on it, our job is done!
