Dear colleagues,

“Fun Virtual Networking” event is coming up next week!
A short greeting of each other from our new workplace /home, sharing news along with doing a couple of funny activities, with a prize, are the best way to feel connected to the community. In the meanwhile, we have invited a couple of our students who have recently submitted their PhD thesis to give their priceless time to us and share their PhD experiences and answer our questions in this matter!

Industry Seminar

Dear Colleagues,

This is to let you know about an exciting seminar organised by the School of EMI, University of Melbourne.

Speaker: Jill Walsh
In August 2019, Jill was appointed by the Minister for Transport Infrastructure as the Victorian Rail Advocate. In 2018 Jill was awarded inaugural Woman Manufacturer of the Year award which recognises the contribution of women to manufacturing in Victoria.
Jill is an active mentor to women across various industries, including both established leaders and those on the road to success.

Seminar Abstract
Jill will give an insight into Victoria’s current and proposed transport industry and network. In particular, the seminar will introduce the opportunities around developments shaped by transit (or transit-oriented developments) and the need to develop an enabling infrastructure that incorporates the best of technology to find solutions to solve complex problems such as combating climate change.
