Professor Felicity Baker Associate Dean Research for the Faculty of Fine Arts & Music, and Director of International Research Partnerships for the Creative Arts and Music Therapy Research Unit, has made significant contributions to the field of music therapy, particularly in dementia care and neurorehabilitation.
She is Lead Investigator on the Music Attuned Technology Care eHealth (MATCH) project involving interdisciplinary teams from health, engineering, technology and health economics, developing an adaptive music technology that combines a music therapy led caregiver training program of intentional music use, with an automation of early detection, classification and regulation of symptoms that utilises biomarkers, wearable sensors and AI.
Her 2022 book Leadership and Management of Clinical Trials in the Creative Arts Therapies is the first to provide guidance on clinical trial implementation in the creative arts therapies.
