Lab News

WE SURVIVED 2020!
What a crazy year it has been for everyone.
Super grateful to this amazing bunch of hard working, positive young people.
It’s been great to have restrictions ease enough for us to come together in person for a
“Christmas / we survived 2020” celebration!

NEW POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW – PAOLIN – SPEARHEADING EXCITING RESEARCH PROGRAM

We’re very excited to have Paolin Caceres Velez join the lab as a J.N. Peters fellow (University of Melbourne fellowship) in 2020. She’s spearheading an exciting research program AVID – Australian Antioxidants for Visual Disorders and has been awarded a KM Brutton bequest additional to her fellowship. Despite having very limited lab access since joining in April 2020, Paolin is already generating interesting data for her project, and she’s supported by MSc student Julie Hercus (started July 2020) and Sarah Kiloni (joining in March 2021).
