New resource: Integrating Indigenous Australian Knowledge and Japanese Language Learning
We are pleased to announce Integrating Indigenous Australian Knowledge and Japanese Language Learning is now available. It is an initiative of the CLIL Teacher Education Lab within Languages and Literacies Education at the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Education, inspired by the work of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander School Curricula project, and funded by the Australia-Japan Foundation.
The resources aim to support teachers of Japanese to work with Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) using content relevant to the Australian Curriculum, that also recognises the important contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures to that knowledge. This has been enabled through resources originally created for teachers using the Australian Curriculum through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander School Curricula project.
