Helen Keneley Scholarship Supports TESOL Graduates Heading to Japan–Applications Now Open

Are you a recent Melbourne TESOL graduate or current student with aspirations to teach or study in Japan? The Helen Keneley Scholarship is now accepting applications.

Established through a generous gift from Helen Mildred Keneley, this scholarship supports students who have completed or are currently enrolled in:

  • Master of Teaching (Secondary) with a TESOL Learning Area, or
  • Master of TESOL (or its early exit programs)

Applicants must intend to undertake further study or employment in TESOL in Japan.

Scholarship Details:

  • Value: Between $2,000 and $25,000
  • Applications Open: 8 September 2025
  • Applications Close: 14 December 2025
  • Eligibility: Domestic and international students; current or recent graduates (within 3 years)
