Memorandum of Understanding Between the University of Melbourne and the University of Salzburg.

The University of Melbourne and The University of Salzburg have recently signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in academic and research activities for mutual benefit. Together, both Universities aim to enhance strong and sustainable transnational education and research programs.

The memorandum will build on existing programs and enhance research collaborations between the two institutions.

As first joint initiative, the Media and Communications Program at UoM and the Department of English and American Studies at PLUS are co-hosting an online symposium on Media, Text, and Travel. The symposium takes place on Thursday, 16 March 2023 and Friday, 17 March 2023. For more information, you can visit the symposium website.

The theme for the symposium is Media, Text, and Travel, providing a rich forum for discussing, challenging, and advancing multiple facets of media and communication in national and global settings. This online symposium invites scholarly reflection on innovative teaching pedagogies, research approaches, critical theory and industry practice on all types of media and texts, e.g. advertising, news, travel writing, social media.
