Returning to campus life post-pandemic
After returning to campus life post-pandemic, I felt a strong desire to reconnect with my peers and become more involved in the student community. When our course coordinator, Prof Felix Hui proposed starting a student community for the Master of Engineering Management, I immediately volunteered and became one of the founding committee members.
Being part of the first committee gave me a unique opportunity to help shape the direction and purpose of the Master of Engineering Management Student Community (MEMSC) from the ground up. We organised events, created networking opportunities, and worked to build a supportive environment for fellow students.
From setting objectives to delegating tasks and adapting when things didn’t go as planned, I gained valuable hands-on experience in managing real initiatives. This involvement not only enhanced my leadership and communication skills but also strengthened my confidence in pursuing a career in project management to create a meaningful impact.
