Meet Your Peers 2023 S1

To gather the new faces and members of the MEM Student Community, the 2023S1 MEM Student Committee organized its first “Meet Your Peers” event. The event was held on 21 April 2023 in Yasuko Hiraoka Myer Room located in the Sidney Myer building. Participants engaged through activities such as games and heard what alumni had to say about the program. Students also got to chat about their aspirations over some provided foods and drinks. In total, 25 graduate students attended the event along with few university staff and alumni.

“I think we needed a platform for MEM students to meet and understand their fit in the university. This was a perfect platform for it. Also, because MEM student strength is small and distributed across business school and engineering, it gave a good sense of connecting to people. I think this can evolve into a bigger club where we can be the club to actually integrate the business students and the engineering folks together and spread the word of MEM.”
