President of the Australian Academy of Science to give the Valda McRae Lecture
Professor Andrew Holmes, the current President of the Australian Academy of Science, will give this year’s Valda McRae Lecture on the 2nd of August. More details to follow. -

MUCS Seminar Update
The first MUCS lecture of 2017 will be held on Wednesday 12th of April, 4:15 pm. The talk entitled ‘London Dispersion Effects in Molecular Chemistry – Reconsidering Steric Effects’ will be given by Professor Peter Schreiner from Justus-Liebig Universität, Giessen, Germany. MUCS Membership
The MUCS committee is calling for members for 2017. Apart from the lecture series, the committee is looking to host two additional events this year including a poster/3-minute thesis session for students as well as a MUCS annual dinner. More information to follow.
