Scopus A-Z: Training for Researchers & Research Staff
The University Library is offering two Scopus training sessions, one for researchers and one for research support staff. The sessions will provide an in-depth look at the functionality of Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.
Scopus for Researchers
The workshop will deliver a detailed, practical demonstration of the A-Z functionality of the platform including:
- Author Evaluator: how to use this feature to assess your research performance and find collaborators.
- Setting alerts: track yourself and other key researchers in your fields.
- Developing collaborative networks.
- Understand how content evaluation can increase your success in finding new and exciting research trends.
- Journal Analyser: how journal publication and citation metrics can be used to a researcher’s advantage to assess journal quality and the impact of research publications.
