UOM Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT)

Think you can condense an 80,000 word thesis down to three minutes?

Would you like to be in the running for a $4000 cash grant?

Answer yes to both these questions and you should then be entering the University of Melbourne’s Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT).

The 3MT is a professional and highly engaging international competition that challenges PhD candidates to present their research in appropriate language to an intelligent but non-specialist audience in the space of three minutes.

This virtual competition allows students to practice and improve their public speaking skills, presenting their research to the University community and the general public, and there’s also some great prizes to be awarded.

Entries close Wednesday 16 June, 11:59pm.
