Library Hours and Operations from November 20th – December 24th 2021
It is nearing the end of the year, and that means that the University’s library hours and operations for the rest of 2021 will be a little different to usual.
The Baillieu Library and Virtual Library Services will move to reduced Summer hours from Saturday November 20, and our other branches will remain closed until 2022. Please note that University staff and students can only attend campus if they meet the University’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement. The Print Retrieval service will continue until the end of the year.
Baillieu Library
From 20th November until December 24th the Baillieu Library will open as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10:00-17:00
- Wednesday: 10:00-20:00
- Saturday – Sunday: 13:00-17:00
Please note the Baillieu will be CLOSED on Saturday 11 December, and Sunday 12 December due to infrastructure works.
We will continue the current arrangements at Baillieu Library for the remainder of the year. They are:
- Library service desk remains closed
- Access to general collection (High Use access unavailable)
- Borrowing and returns using self-service machines
- PCs and study spaces are available (walk up only, no bookings)
- Project rooms and recording booths remain closed
- Printers and scanners are available
Reading Room
The Reading Room will open by appointment for eligible University of Melbourne Staff and Students. Appointments are on weekdays, from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.
Library Chat
Library Chat will align to the Baillieu’s opening hours from Monday November 22.
