EndNote X6 for Windows & EndNote X6.0.2 for Mac are now available

EndNote X6 has been tested by Library and ITS staff and can be downloaded from the Library’s EndNote download site. Researchers using University-owned computers can request EndNote X6 to be installed via the ITS Service Desk. Importantly for Mac OS 10.8 “Mountain Lion” users EndNote X6.0.2 for Mac is compatible with Mac OS 10.8.2.

The University of Melbourne will continue to recommend and support EndNote X5 for Windows and EndNote X5 for Mac through 2013 and this version will be found on University computers in labs and libraries.  EndNote X6 is provided for users wanting to utilise new features or who are experiencing compatibility issues.  Note that the program is supplied with default settings from EndNote and requires configuration to utilise all article retrieval, search and style citation functions available.  A configuration guide is provided on the installation instructions page. Please note that EndNote training provided by the Library throughout 2013 will be using EndNote X5.
