    Elena is a 24 year old Master of Biomedical Science student. Currently in her 6th year at the University of Melbourne, she investigates the Snail gene family under the supervision of Dr. Gary Hime. Aside from her research, Elena enjoys teaching high school students at GTAC, cooking, travelling and watching AFL (Go Tigers!).
