Freaking out and panicking, with good reason

I’m STILL having terrible luck with this life thing.

Updates:

+ my cat went missing. One one hand OHMYGODMYCAT 🙁 on the other at least that’s one less thing to make my rental application look bad. 🙁

+ I have 3 WEEKS left to find a 3-bedroom house to rent, get accepted for it, and move in. Not much luck on that front, plus it’s the time of year where hundreds of people are showing up to inspections and it’s so hard to not panic.

+ I have applied for a gorgeous house in a perfect location and by strange circumstance I’m allowed to apply before the official open inspection which might just give me the edge… However students don’t seem to be very popular with landlords, even quiet sisters with perfect rent history 🙁 update: didn’t get it. Reason given “not interested in having students on my property.” Students: exactly like rowdy pets, or pests maybe.

+  My mum stuffed up her “income” section so Centrelink thinks that a) my parents have money b) that they would actually share with me. After paying the rent for the fortnight I have $4.86 to last me all fortnight.

+ At this point I may be forced to take the semester off so I can save up enough money so I can afford just to live next semester. Yeah.

+ As for how I’m holding up psychologically, it’s not so bad. In perfectly reasonable health given the circumstances. At least I have people to complain to, even if they don’t get it and casually complain about their $200 clothing purchases.

+ My parents have, in every meaningful sense of the word, disowned me. ‘Cause I stopped putting up with their abuse. I feel bad for my siblings who still have to tolerate them, and it sucks for me because they haven’t been supportive in years (at least that means I’m good at being independent?) and it often hurts to hear of others talking about how their parents drive them places or help them get properties, etc… But it’s okay I guess.

  1. :/ Sounds pretty bad, the only thing I can think to say is “Chin up.” Though that’s not going to help much.

I know the student union/finance dept can give out short loans, which might help out for a bit, but debt is still debt so you’d need to find a way of repaying it back as well. Best of luck.
