Kristen’s thesis is an ethnographic study of medical tourism in India, conducted in five private hospitals in Mumbai. The study offers a microcosmic view of broader economic patterns emerging within and between nations globally, with healthcare services swiftly transitioning to another frontier for commercialisation, consumption and exploitation.
