MSPGH Teaching Seminar: 17th April 2019 – Low touch Mobile learning – is this the future?

12.30-1.30pm, Wed 17th April 2019
Seminar Room 515, Level 5, 207 Bouverie Street, Carlton

Professor Colin Royse, MBBS, MD, FANZCA
Academic Director, Custom and Professional Education, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, The University of Melbourne

Online learning is a rapidly evolving field, with high demand for learning that caters to a mobile and busy population. Low touch Mobile learning means that the content drives a self-directed learning pathway, allowing the participant to study in their own time and place. It also does not require direct teacher input during the study period. This highly efficient and scalable method of delivery requires a different pedagogy to deliver learning outcomes, and the principal may be quite confronting to teachers using existing methods.
