10:00am to 11:00am, Monday 1st July 2019

Seminar Room 515, 207 Bouverie Street, Carlton

Presenter: Masters of Public Health Candidate: Jack Bulman

Supervisors: Prof Kerry Arabena, Dr Mick Adams and A/Prof Richard Chenhall

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander males have little to no support from services during the early formation of their families. Through a series of focus groups and interviews with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander males who are making the transition to first time fathers, this Masters project is seeking to understand what stressors males experience during this life transition to identify the supports required to fulfil their cultural obligations during the first 1000 days, from conception to a child’s second birthday.
