Preparing for the printmaking residency
Over the next two weeks, we are preparing for the artists to arrive for their Printmaking residency at VCA Printmaking, in the School of Art on the Southbank campus of The University of Melbourne.
We are preparing drawing inks from ochres gathered by Tiriki Onus and N’Arweet Carolyn Briggs with David Coles from Langridge Art.
We are preparing charcoals from plants gathered near Merri Creek. We gathered feather speargrass, silver dollar red box, Dianella, common sedge and black sheoak to carbonise.
