Prometheus: digital image archive for art & cultural sciences – database trial until 24 April 2013

The Library is trialling Prometheus an archive that enables you to search over 70 art history, design, architecture, theological, historical and archaeological image databases using a single interface.Prometheus offers the ability to store images from the database into a personal image collection. Additional information to characterize your image collection (description, keywords) or information concerning research literature or relevant web links can be added. The images can also be integrated or assembled into a presentation. The layout of the slides is flexible, the presentation can be started easily in any browser. A list of the participating databases is available here.
