Streamline your access to our online resources
The University of Melbourne Library subscribes to substantial collections of online journals, e-books, databases and websites that students and staff can access for free, from their own devices, both on and off campus.
Explore these library hacks to use search tools, apps, and systems that can streamline access to our online resources and speed up your research process.
These are some steps you could take:
- Download the Lean Library or LibKey Nomad browser plugins to access full text and bypass paywalls when browsing online.
- Turn on “Find it@Unimelb” links when browsing Google Scholar at home.
- Set up journal and search alerts to keep up to date with new research about your topic. You can receive email alerts, use Zotero RSS feeds or BrowZine to follow your favourite journals.
- Use reference management software to manage your publications, organise your research and write your papers.
