It is that time of year already! Open Access Week 2021

Open Access Week (25-31 OCT 2021) is a great opportunity for researchers and research audiences alike to consider the challenges and opportunities of open access publishing, with content and events at the University of Melbourne and further afield. 

As part of the Researcher@Library program we will be hosting two Open Research Workshops this week: 

Public Access and Your Thesis (October) 

Tuesday 26 October 2021 

11am-12pm 

Get an overview of everything you need to know to prepare a PhD or Masters by Research thesis for the University’s Open Access Repository. Register your place.

Thursday 28 October 2021 

1pm-2pm 

This session is an introduction to Open Research which takes researchers through the what, why, and how of making your research more open.  Book your place.

Open Access Australasia Free Events 

Open Access Australasia has organised a great line-up of online events. Some events that may be of particular interest include: 

  • Indigenous Voices: research principles and practice through a First Nations lens (Panel event) 
  • Another Kind of Open: exploring the benefits and barriers to the creation and use of open educational resources (Panel event) 
  • Making Research Truly Accessible: insight unshared is thwarted potential (Panel event)
