If you haven’t read the article that graced today’s front page of The Age – I suggest you check it out here.
A few people I know are already blogging about it and not in a positive light. I’m not one to judge without the full story and I’m hoping more details come out, but I’m very concerned by the idea that an academic who spoke on his subject matter with expert opinion, appears to have been severely penalized with demotion (leading to resignation) – just because he criticized the government. I thought Universities were places of free thought and opinion?
