It was just once that I noticed a unique building being constructed on Berkley Street as I travelled by the tram on Royal Parade. I wondered what building it was with its eye-catching design.
And now, I realise it is the new 13-level Economics and Commerce building. It looks very impressive; I bet the Commerce students are quite excited. Only if my faculty (‘was’ the faculty of land and food resources, ‘now’ the Melbourne School of land and environment) would try a bit of upgrading or renovating since it is so hidden away at the corner of campus. I wonder how many actually know where that building is without consulting the map.
Would that then be the tallest on campus? I think Redmand Barry has around 12, with lifts that apparently get stuck.
In short words, I’m happy and excited to welcome this new building next year and join our varied and beautiful buildings.
Till next time

Yeah I reckon it looks alright.
New buildings are great for the first month or so. Then you realise the age or condition of the rooms have no positive affect on your marks. Most of the space will probably be taken up by staff, professors and researchers, much like the Alan Gilbert and Law buildings.
The LFR facade is quite nice and it has that wonderful small patch of lawn out the front.
