Whoop-de-doo (Silvia)

I’m sorry, what did  you say? It’s been two weeks of holidays already? And I have to go back to uni tomorrow?

Oh fudge.

Where did my sweet holiday time go?

I had so many plans. I told myself I would revise the lectures I had trouble with, catch up on the lectures I’d missed and do the required readings. I would also read a good book, take long walks with my dog and start playing the piano again.

I’ve done… let’s see… oh, none of those things. Wait, no. I played with my dog so that half counts.

I know, I’m terrible and undisciplined and I’m going to suffer a slow and agonising spiral into depression when exam time rolls around. But the thing is, exams don’t roll around until mid November so I’ve got all the time in the world to study.

I believe that’s what I said last semester.

But the thing is, I find that I understand things better when I cram. That’s probably because all the information is coming in at once and I can make links between concepts easier. I’ve tried the whole ‘Revise as you learn’ thing and yeah, no, it didn’t work.

However, as it’s supposed to be the most ideal way of studying, I’m going to give it a go again. See, I’m even doing my pre-readings right now (kind of).

Tomorrow’s going to be the “first day of school, first day of school” so I’m going to try hard.

Yes, I like Finding Nemo. And if you didn’t get the reference, you need to watch the movie. Best. Movie. Ever.
