Week 5
I thought I’d post something real quick, because ya’ll look a little lonely out there… not having heard from us in a week or so – may or may not be a good sign that there is life out there. Lets hope that there is. It is week 5, as the highly imaginative title suggests, […] -
Ramblings
I’ll replace all anglais words that I now know in Francais. Probably about cinq of them… Starting off, I found some brilliant concealer. Having been constantly asked ‘are you tired?’ ‘are you sick?’ for pretty much my entire life, I’ve decided to invest in some good concealer, that acts more like paint to be honest. […] -
Pituita me tenet
go Alloc8! Since dropping down to three subjects, and having complete clashes on two of my subjects, all I have is: Tues mornings All day Thursday + a selection of lectures (min three/max five of them) that have to be listened online due to clashes. This is the first time I haven’t had to come […] -
Singapore!
Sitting in Singapore with cousins from around the world is a bit surreal, although the food (and expanding waistline) is real enough. I’m over here for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, which is amazing – and so the entire family is here, some Indian, some Canadian – and of course the aussies. However, both my […] -
Exam Revision snippet II
unoriginal – but this is what’s going through my head at the moment… Cells with a trophic factor inhibits caspase activation, as trophic factor (sensory neurons in dorsal root ganglion req. different ones to survive) activates a Pl-3 kinase, which in turn starts phosphorylating cascade, activating Akt kinase (with help of ATP hydrolysis) to phosphorylate […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2009/06/20/exam-revision-snippet-ii

Sapientia et Scientia [nicola]
As I stood in the library the other day, it hit me just how much knowledge there was to gain! Probably not the best time to be thinking about this, as exams are coming soon – but pouring over books from Shakespeare to Plant Physiology got me excited about learning for the sake of learning […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2009/05/28/sapientia-et-scientia-nicola

wow.
Today I took a friend who had never been to vic market, to vic market. What makes this story rather exceptional (in my mind anyway) is that she has lived at college for 1 1/2 years. AND HAS BEEN INTO THE CITY TWICE. That is all for now. -
Stuff and things [nicola]
Back again with classes with all force and vigour of a new first year student and I’m really happy with life in general. Easter and the holidays were fantastically awesome and it is a little sad (just a little) to have to return to uni and be of a more disciplined nature. Uni is really […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2009/04/25/stuff-and-things-nicola

They’re alive! [nicola]
I really had to write a whole new post for this… You know the time when you discovered that your teacher was actually a person? For me it was in grade 1 when I saw my teacher at the supermarket. That was weird. Teachers don’t have a life outside of school… they just exist at […] -
Smile :) [nicola]
Well, whatdoyaknow there is a Magician’s Society at uni. Having been asked by a friend of mine to attend one of their meetings, I entered a lecture theatre today in attempts to gather some secret secrets and left with an ability to separate two impossibly inseparable rubber bands and the ability to make a balloon […]
