HOLIDAYS
There isn’t a sweeter word in the English language than holidays. It strikes joy into the heart of every university student everywhere, and particularly in this university student. I finished my exams a week ago and I can safely say I have done very little, achieved absolutely nothing and I am LOVING it. I will […] -
Chapter Twenty-Eight: The Steam Train Adventure (~jinghan)
“June seems to be quite popular for birthdays.” “It’s makes sense.” “How so?” “Spring.” “June’s not spring! … Oh wait…” — It’s been three days since my last exam and I still haven’t started studying for my next one. Instead I am making nefarious plans for the birthdays of various friends. Tomorrow is my friends birthday […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2011/06/19/chapter-twenty-eight-the-steam-train-adventure-jinghan

Chapter Twenty-Seven: Orange and Poppy Seed, Part IV (~jinghan)
Two. Two Orange and Poppy Seed muffins left. Two days since my last exam and I haven’t started studying for my other two exams. Two’s a funny number. “Hi, how’s life?” I ask a friend from school that I haven’t spoken to for a while. Life’s been better to her. Already I’m calculating what I should […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2011/06/13/chapter-twenty-seven-orange-and-poppy-seed-part-iv-jinghan

Take 2
Have any of you ever tried a melted chocolate muffin from Romano’s? (Just outside the ERC). They…. are…. AMAZING! They make studying for 8 plus hours in the same EXACT place slightly more tolerable. I’m referring, of course, to the French film I had to edit yesterday. Myself and my group filmed it on Monday […] -
They serve chocolate in hell
I’m feeling mildly nostalgic and I have no idea what over? I’m sitting in a bar after having just finished my last essay for this semester and I’m feeling a little underwhelmed. Probably because I know come tomorrow, it’ll start all over again (studying, French orals, blah!!). The last time I blogged I had a […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2011/05/13/they-serve-chocolates-in-hell

I’ve been having a pretty dodgy semester.
I'm very happy at the moment. I'm not doing well at Uni, I am aware of it. I'm not sure where I'm headed. I feel conflicted about the people around me. But I'm embracing the moments that are precious to me, and I'm making use of what time I have. Even if it isn't by studying...blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2011/05/08/ive-been-having-a-pretty-dodgy-semester

Reality check
First of all, my apologies for disappearing for the past few weeks. 4 mid-semester exams + a job that is ending (closing down) in a few weeks + attempting to have a life (and failing miserably) = a very cranky Luke. Houdini could learn something from my vanishing act. As the Easter break ends tonight, I […] -
Chapter Seventeen: If ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise (~jinghan)
People are understanding. But I still feel guilty. “Hi, I short circuited my stress fuse. So I don’t think I’ll be able to come to your party today. Have a nice birthday none the less. I hope you understand.” It has come to a point where my love affair with my planner has gotten out […] -
Chapter Thirteen: The Pursuit of Happiness (~jinghan)
I have been tossing an turning trying to work out what topic to choose for my Knowledge, Learning and Culture essay… Maths? Teaching? But then an idea strikes me and I know that nothing else will be quite as good in comparison: Happiness. — A great sadness wells up inside me, and pours forth in […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2011/04/22/chapter-thirteen-the-pursuit-of-happiness-jinghan

Chapter Twelve: A Day Worth Living (~jinghan)
“Arg its so early…” I groan squinting at the light and rubbing at my eyes groggily. My sister turns to me with a unamused look. I like to tease her on Thursday mornings – the only morning when I wake up early enough to run into her in the morning. For her this is a […]blogs.unimelb.edu.au/seconds/2011/04/07/chapter-twelve-a-nice-day-jinghan
