Bamboo: A registry of digital research tools
Bamboo DIRT is a registry of digital research tools that will be of use to many in the research community. Its purpose is to find and compare resources ranging from content management systems to music optical character recognition, and from statistical analysis packages to mindmapping software. The site was developed by the Bamboo Partner Institutions (University of California, Berkeley; Uuniversity of Chicago; University of Wisconsin, Madison) with the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Resources are organised according to function and DIRT provides technical information, comments, recommendations and links to websites from which each resource can be obtained.
