SCIP Data Visualisations Drop-in Sessions
This focused data visualisation clinic will demonstrate how you can simplify and visualise complex research data using Excel, Tableau Public and Microsoft Power BI. It will help you to create an engaging and memorable narrative using structured data from your research. You will learn how to prepare and load data, and how to use key features to generate and share effective data visualisations. Once you have attended these initial how-to sessions, you will have the opportunity to participate in more advanced consultations.
These sessions are run by the University’s Social and Cultural Informatics Platform (SCIP). They are aimed at researchers from all disciplines but those in Arts and Social Sciences are especially encouraged to explore how data-visualisation tools can assist their research. The sessions are intended for both those new to data visualisation or those looking to expand their knowledge of different data visualisation tools.
