Researcher, google thyself – Researcher@Library 2017

Who are you? Your online reputation is constantly being built by what you say and what you do in public and semi public forums, including what you make and share. Sharing your teaching and research can be a fruitful way to connect with your global community and leverage opportunities – but is not without risk. In this lecture Associate Professor Inger Mewburn will talk about her alter-ego ‘The Thesis Whisperer‘ and offer insights drawn from nearly eight years of professional academic blogging and her research with Pat Thomson about how academics blog.

Date: Wednesday, 23 August 2017

Time: 2:30pm – 3:30pm

Venue: Theatre 2 (Room B120), 207 Bouverie Street

Presenter: Associate Professor Inger Mewburn (‘The Thesis Whisperer’), Director of Research Training, Office of the Dean of Higher Degree by Research, The Australian National University.
