Digital Skills Training
Digital Skills Training at the University of Melbourne has a new home.
Keep an eye on the Digital Skills Training webpage on the Researcher Connect site for upcoming free training opportunities for University of Melbourne staff and students. The aim is to offer high quality training, accessible to all and to build communities of researchers with similar skill development needs. Workshops currently include: NVivo, R and RStudio, and Python.
Introduction to NVivo workshop series
This series of four free online workshops for researchers will introduce you
to the qualitative data analysis tool NVivo. NVivo helps you discover more
from your qualitative and mixed methods data. These facilitated workshops will
help you work more efficiently, conduct deeper analysis from more sources, and
defend your findings with one tool.
Intro to R – four part series
This series of four free two-hour online workshops will take researchers on
their first steps into the world of R! These sessions are aimed at complete R
novices, so don’t be scared to come and have a try. We encourage you to
register for all four workshops in the same stream (A-F) to help create a
cohort experience amongst fellow participants.
Advanced R workshops
This series of free two-hour online workshops (May-June) are aimed at staff
and students who have attended the R introductory workshops or have some basic
R knowledge. Workshop themes: RMarkdown and RNotebooks (run twice); Loops in
R; Functions in R.
