What now?

It’s the 2nd week of holidays… and I am running out of things to do. If I have my way, I would actually prefer to have 2 weeks’ worth of holidays then have the 12 weeks of semester broken up into 3 or 4 week chunks with 2-week breaks in-between. But hey, that’s just me.

I’ve gotten my university results already yesterday. Just two words to summarise them – Utterly Disappointing. Anyways, what’s done is done. At the very least, I was granted a special exam during the exam period rather than the supplementary exams period (just before semester 2), so I am now well and truly on holidays. The only things left to do now are: 1. Get my physical model, A1 posters, and everything else I’ve submitted for Studio and then haul them back home. Needless to say, that’ll be very hard to do as I would need to carry them in the tram, train and bus, in that order. 2. Change my subjects and hope my timetable turns out alright. I’ve just been notified last week that it’s not possible to do 2 of my subjects in the same semester as they have way too many class clashes. Unless I could be in two places at the same time, I have to just go  find another subject. I thought that would be easy enough but lo! it seems like the subject coordinators of Environments Electives have conspired against me so that almost every possible elective clashes with my classes (Explanation: three of my subjects would probably end up with just 40-80 enrolments each so are only two choices, if any at all,  for class schedules). I would probably end up taking a subject that has a lecture clash.

As to everything else – I am just really trying to catch up with friends who I have terribly neglected during semester time. My ALG for SALP is also slowly working on our project. I am also slowly catching up with chour rehearsals, after missing 3 in a row. Oh, and I would be volunteering for this coming week’s Open House in the CBD – hopefully the weather stays good up to then. Apart from these, I basically have nothing much to do or at least, nothing very interesting, over the break. It looks like there’ll be no ski trip with my family this year too. Oh well, I hope everyone else out there is having much more fun than I am. Surely, that’ll be easy enough.

  1. No! You should be revelling in your free time. Read a book, catch up on Gossip Girl or earn some extra cash. I love holidays!
