Sing this blog post to the tune of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" (full version) (Cristina)

NOW this is a story all about how
Assignments make Cristina frown
So I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there
And tell you how Week 4 made me goddamn scared

*brief musical interlude*

Iiiiiin West John Medley, level four
Is a place that I would come to abhor
Long lines, pink slips, a place of compliance:
The School of Social and Political Science

There’s a stapler, a couple of pens and a lamp
And a really quite scary electric date-stamp
I got it one bit off-centre and got a bit scared
The lady just sighed and said, “Put it there”

I blushed and thanked her, but not wanting to stay
I picked up my bag and went right on my way
I went to the lift, then I went to a lecture
And the only word that rhymes right here is “conjecture”

Week 4, yo it was weird!
Two assignments due that I had so feared
Is this what uni is really like?
Hmmmmm…I guess it’s alright.

But wait, don’t get the wrong idea and all that
Uni’s still great and I feel like such a cool cat
But online submission – it’s really scary
I hope Turnitin knows that it made me quite wary!

*another brief musical interlude*

Well, two assignments are in and I’m chuffed
(Though half of my AusPol was completely bluffed)
Next week’s looking good, lots of free things!
And a creative writing poem due, but, er, Wings

I kind of hate my poem, but that’s just me
Almost everything I write, I view critically
If anything, I can say this poem’s acceptable
Notably since to procrastinating, I’m very susceptible

I guess, in a way, this week’s been great
I got my assignments in before the due date
And I spent more time with my new friend Laura
Awesomeness? She has a plethora.

Cristina.

P.S. I spend too much time on things like this.

  1. AWESOME indeed!
I once knew a jerk who handed in nothing but the lyrics to this song as his english literature essay. There you go…
